For Gwyl Cariad I wanted to explore what love meant both locally and beyond. People shared secrets and memories. These were displayed in Arad Goch, as well as some having been hidden amongst the town.
Many of the memories were beautiful. Themes of security, memory and being drawn to a space. Perthyn, teulu a diogelwch.

Zac Dutton painted the gouache map as we printed old postcard scenes from the Peoples collection all over them asking people to interact by taking a memory.
I would like to thank all who sent in their memories and meanings. Diolch.
It was chasing a dream of love that brought us to the Wild West of mid wales.
Teulu. Cinio Dydd Sul.
Love is the sea and the sea is love Sometimes calm Sometimes turbulent Consistent, constant and faithful Reassuring, powerful,Magnetic and immersive
As a student, I fell in love with my future husband in Aberystwyth. 16 years later, we came back for our honeymoon and fell in love with the place all over again. Now, we live here as locals and love being part of this special community.
Not great at these kinds of things but personally love in Aber to me is meeting my partner of 10 years after being friends for 18 years and raising our two boys together in the town she grew up in, so “friendship, family and security”
