Rwy’n arbenigwr ymgysylltu amlddisgyblaethol ac yn Artist sy’n gweithio ar groesffordd y celfyddydau, yr amgylchedd, iaith lai a diwylliant. Mae fy ngwaith yn ymwneud â gwehyddu cysylltiadau rhwng pobl, lle, iaith a natur sy’n para ymhell ar ôl i’r prosiect ddod i ben. Ymgorffori yn y gymuned i greu gwaith gyda’r gymuned ac ar ei chyfer.
Rwy’n gweithio ar draws cyfryngau ffotograffiaeth, ffilm, sain, perfformiad a ffurfiau barddonol i archwilio dyfnder cymunedau. Rydw i wedi bod yn ffodus i gael fy nghelf wedi’i harddangos ledled Ewrop ac i fod wedi cymryd rhan mewn preswylfeydd gyda chymunedau gwledig, o Wlad y Basg i bocedi gwledig o Gymru. Ochr yn ochr â hynny, rydw i wedi cefnogi a chynhyrchu ymgysylltiad ar gyfer gŵyl theatr fawr, benodol i safle, gan helpu i adeiladu cynulleidfaoedd a chysylltu pobl trwy straeon a rennir. Rydw i wedi curadu gofod arddangos gwyliau rhyngwladol a llysgenhadaeth gargo sy’n canolbwyntio ar ieithoedd bach Prifddinas Ddiwylliannol Donostia. Rydw i wedi gweithio fel mentor ac wedi cefnogi artistiaid ar wahanol gamau o’u taith. Rydw i wedi gweithio ar lawer o’r Prosiect Ysgolion Arweiniol ers 2016 gyda Chyngor Celfyddydau Cymru.
Yr hyn rwy’n ei gyfrannu yw dealltwriaeth ddofn o le a diwylliant, yn enwedig mewn lleoliadau gwledig, a chred bod celf yn ffordd bwerus o wrando, dysgu a chreu newid gyda’n gilydd. Rwy’n angerddol am iaith: ieithoedd bach, straeon lleol, enwau caeau a gloÿnnod byw: oherwydd nhw sy’n allweddol i hunaniaeth a pherthyn. Rydw i wedi gweithio gyda diwylliant ieithoedd llai ac yn dod â fy ngofal am fioamrywiaeth ac amrywiaeth ddiwylliannol fel pwynt gofal perthynol sy’n seiliedig ar le.Mae fy null yn berthynol ac yn amyneddgar. Rwy’n gweithio gyda didwylledd a hiwmor, gan gynnig lle i bobl ddod o hyd i’w llais a llunio prosiectau mewn ffyrdd sy’n adlewyrchu eu cymuned yn wirioneddol. Rwy’n credu nad dim ond bod yn bresennol yw ymgysylltu ond meithrin ymddiriedaeth a pherchnogaeth a rennir dros amser.
P’un a ydw i’n mentora artistiaid, yn hwyluso sgyrsiau, neu’n helpu i blannu coed, fy nod yw cefnogi cymunedau i deimlo eu bod yn cael eu gweld, eu clywed, a’u grymuso. Hi, I’m Naomi Heath.
I’m a multidisciplinary engagement specialist and Artist working at the crossroads of arts, environment, smaller language and culture. My work is about weaving connections between people, place, language, and nature that last long after the project ends. Embedding within community to create work with and for the community.
I’ve been lucky to have my art exhibited across Europe and to have taken part in residencies with rural communities, from the Basque Country to rural pockets of Wales. Alongside that, I’ve supported and produced engagement for large, site-specific theatre festival, helping build audiences and connect people through shared stories. I’ve curated an international festival exhibition space and embassy of cargo focused on small language the Cultural Capital of Donostia. I’ve worked as a mentor and supported artists at different stages of their journey. I’ve worked on many of the Lead Schools Project since 2016 with the Arts Council of Wales.
What I bring is a deep understanding of place and culture, especially in rural settings, and a belief that art is a powerful way to listen, learn, and create change together. I’m passionate about language: small languages, local stories, the names of fields and butterflies: because they hold the keys to identity and belonging. I’ve worked with smaller language culture and bring my care of biodiversity and cultural diversity and place based understanding.
My approach is relational and patient. I work with openness and humour, holding space for people to find their voice and to shape projects in ways that truly reflect their community. I believe that engagement isn’t just about showing up but about building trust and shared ownership over time.
Whether I’m mentoring artists, facilitating conversations, or helping plant trees, I aim to support communities in feeling seen, heard, and empowered. It’s about belonging to each other, to the land, to a shared future.
